Cyanogen Based Alcatel OneTouch Hero 2 Plus Announced at MWC 2015

Alcatel has kicked off the MWC show with its new phablet in OneTouch Hero series. The Alcatel OneTouch Hero 2+ is the new device which has found the chance to show its competence at world’s biggest mobile trade show. This handset will hit the US and Canada markets at $299, while no word on its global launch has been spoken by the officials.

This smartphone runs on Cyanogen OS 11 which is based on Android 4.4 KitKat platform. This smartphone is huge enough with 6-inch TFT display which provides full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) resolution. To work like a performance beast, the handset has 2.0GHz octa-core MediaTek MTK6592M (Cortex-A7) processor along with 2GB of RAM.

On imaging front, the handset offers 13-megapixel rear snapper with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for shutterbugs and selfie lovers. Alcatel OneTouch Hero 2+ on other side comes equipped with 16GB built-in storage which can further be expandable upto 32GB via microSD card.

It is backed by a massive 3100mAh battery which acts like a powerhouse for the device to offer enough juice. For connectivity purpose, this handset offers 4G LTE Cat. 4, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth Smart 4.0, GPS/ A-GPS and NFC support. Earlier at IFA 2014, the Alcatel OneTouch Hero 2 had been unveiled with stylus support.
