Datawind to Gift Indians a Smartphone with Free Internet at Rs. 2000

A tech Company has behooved to make India aware about the technology and Internet. Datawind, A low-cost mobile manufacturer has come out with an idea of blessing Indians with a gift on this Diwali. Company has decided to gift a low-cost smartphone on this auspicious day to bring awareness in the common people for Internet and smartphones.

Keeping the people of middle tier cities in mind, Company has decided to bring a low-cost smartphone which will be priced around Rs. 2,000. The handset will be launched before Diwali as claimed by Company. It is said that it will be based on Android platform. The phone will come bundled with free internet data for life time, just to increase the usability and awareness of Internet in everyone’s life.

This smartphone will feature 3.5 inch touch screen. Not any other detail is known about this handset including name and specifications. Earlier Datawind had brought its very revolutionary invention on the Indian soil, the Akash Tablet at a very affordable price tag. Company had also introduced three smartphones and five tablets till yet.

On the other side, Company is also thinking to bundle the free internet service with the upcoming smartphone. In 2013, Company had brought three smartphones of 5 inch screen size which are priced at just Rs. 3,499. On the other side, Android One smartphones have been introduced few days back at low price. And, if this smartphone really comes at this price tag, then it would be leave Android One behind in the price tag, offering free Internet data for lifetime.
