First Smartphone with Shatterproof Display Teased by Motorola

US-based smartphone manufacturer Motorola after keeping its user base on hold from a long time has now decided to put a stop to it since now the company has started teasing the launch of Moto X Force - the first-ever shatterproof smartphone in India and this ain't a rumour since the company has officially posted a teaser video on Twitter along with other tweets.

Motorola India in a series of teaser tweets said, Moto X Force coming soon and Are you one amongst 40 percent of people who are deathly scared of dropping their phones? The teaser video (also shown below) from Motorola shows various high-end smartphones such as the iPhone 6, Sony Xperia Z5, and Samsung Galaxy S6 dropping and their screens breaking whereas this doesn't happen in the case of Motorola X Force.

The company is now owned by Lenovo and there are no official reports on the launch date of the handset, but it is expected to arrive in the markets soon. The handset being Shatterproof is its biggest asset more than it being an international variant of the Droid Turbo 2 for Verizon Wireless. The company at the global launch in October said that the display is made of an aluminium rigid core, flexible AMOLED screen, and dual-layer touchscreen panels that wouldn't break into pieces even when dropped on a slab of concrete. Additionally, the smartphone comes with water-repellent nano-coating.

It is a single-SIM variant with 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and other standard connectivity options. Motorola's Moto X Force was first available in the UK where it was priced at GBP 499 (roughly Rs. 49,900) for the 32GB variant, and a GBP 534 (roughly Rs. 53,400) for the 64GB variant.

On the specifications part, the new Moto X Force features a 5.4-inch QHD display and runs on Android Lollipop v5.1.1 OS. Under the hood, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core SoC coupled with a 3GB of RAM. The company has two separate variants of the handset - one with 32GB of storage capacity and other with 64GB of capacity, however, memory capacity of both the smartphones can be easily expanded up to 2TB which definitely makes it stand different from the rest of the crowd of smartphones in the market. It houses a 3760mAh battery with Quick Charging support, a 21-megapixel rear camera with a f/2.0 aperture and dual-LED flash and Phase Detect Autofocus and a 5-megapixel front camera with flash and a f/2.0 aperture.
