Galaxy J6 Set To Launch on 21st May Featuring Infinity Display

Samsung, the South- Korean giant previously confirmed that the company would launch the two smartphones in Galaxy J- series and two smartphones in Galaxy A- series in the Indian market. Now the company has started sending invites to press media for the launch event which is to be scheduled on 21st May in India where the company could launch the Samsung Galaxy J6 (2018). Alongside, Samsung Galaxy J6 (2018) it is anticipated that the company could also launch the trio of smartphones dubbed as Samsung Galaxy J4, the Samsung Galaxy A6, and the Samsung Galaxy A6 Plus.

Samsung India has officially announced via its Twitter account that the South- Korean company will launch the Samsung Galaxy J6 on 21st May in India. The company has also disclosed that the smartphone will be available for purchase from the next day i.e., 22nd May. In a video which was shared by Samsung India on Twitter also revealed that the Galaxy J6 will come with an Infinity Display,

With the launch of Galaxy J6, it seems that Samsung will compete against the likes of Xiaomi and Honor in the Indian market. Samsung which was to be the market leader in India in the past years has now admitted that it has left its position in front of Xiaomi as the Chinese company is offering better design at an affordable price.

With the launch of Galaxy J6, the South-Korean company is planning to give some refreshed design and features to the Galaxy J- series smartphone and trying to provide some similar features in the upcoming Galaxy J and Galaxy A series smartphones which would enhance the competition between Xiaomi and Samsung.

Ahead of 21st May launch event, the specifications of Galaxy J4 and Galaxy J6 have appeared on the internet a few days ago. According to the previous leaks, it is anticipated that the Galaxy J6 will feature a 5.6-inch AMOLED Infinity Display with the screen resolution of 1480 x 720 pixels and an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is likely to be powered by a company owned Exynos 7870 SoC processor. It seems that the South- Korean company will offer the Galaxy A6 in three different storage options 2GB/3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB internal storage.

In terms of optics, the Galaxy J6 is likely to feature a single 13-megapixel camera and an 8-megapixel selfie shooter. Both the rear and front camera will come with an LED. It is likely to run on Android 8.0 Oreo Operating System layered with Samsung Experience. It is anticipated that it will be powered by a 3,000mAh battery and come with features such as fast charging and Samsung Pay support.

The Galaxy is to be considered the younger sibling of Galaxy J6. The Samsung Galaxy J4 is likely to feature a 5.5-inch HD display along with 16:9 aspect ratio. It is anticipated that it will be powered by an Exynos 7570 coupled with 2GB /3GB of RAM. In terms of optics, it will sport a similar 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

The main aim of South- Korean company is to offer affordable smartphones in the Indian market by offering better features and design, though, it is anticipated that Galaxy A series, as well as Galaxy J series smartphones, would be available at an affordable price.
