Gionee P5W Spotted Online with 5-Inch Display, Octa-Core SoC

The Chinese technocrat, Gionee, has announced globally its another offering Gionee P5W smartphone after Marathon M5, on the company's website. As per the insights, no details about the price and availability of the device have been stated by the firm, but it may hit Indian shores shortly and will be placed in the entry-level market segment.

Checking out the exterior, the dual SIM Gionee P5W looks pretty slim and sleek from outside, grabbing the attention from the very first gaze. Available in peppy color options, namely, blue, white, red, black and yellow, the smartphone differentiates itself from the other economic range of polycarbonate phones. Each shade paired with a matching UI, which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop.

On taking a precise look over the specifications, the Gionee P5W gets powered by a 64-bit octa-core 1.3 GHz MediaTek MT6735 processor, packed with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in expandable storage on the memory front. It sports a 5-inch HD IPS Oncell display having screen resolutions of 720x1280 pixels respectively, and backed by a 2000 mAh battery. Connectivity options include- 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and Micro-USB 2.0. The device measures 143.3x72x8.9 mm in its dimensions and weighs 153 grams. It also features 5 MP rear camera with LED flash and 2 MP front-facing snapper for taking selfies. The P5W audio has also been equipped with DTS 3D Stereo surround sound technology and supports face unlock too.

Gionee's recent launch, Marathon M5 has got two 3010 mAh batteries, aggregating to massive 6020 mAh, which is the highlighting factor of the smartphone. Thanks to this, battery for the phone lasts for 4 days on a single charge. The handset features 3GB of RAM coupled with 32GB of ROM is currently on sale in the country.
