Gionee Pioneer P4S: A Year Old Smartphone in Indian Market at Rs. 7,799

It’s been a year when Chinese juggernaut had announced its Pioneer P4S smartphone, and now we have got the chance to taste it. Well, we can't say that whether it will be sweet or sour in taste as the one year is a big interval in today’s tech industry. There is no doubt that this handset has appealing price i.e. Rs. 7,799 which makes it affordable. But, the market has been changed a lot in technology.

According to its price tag; it can compete with Lenovo A6000, Moto E 4G, Yu Yureka, Xiaomi Redmi 2 in India. But, when we talk on specs, then this Gionee handset is far behind all these plucky devices. The only reason is its late entry in Indian market. Well, we don’t understand why the Chinese mobile maker has taken such long time to ship this Pioneer p4S handset. While on other side, company had brought other handsets like its high-end Elife S7 and Pioneer P6 in country meanwhile.

Well, let’s move to the specs side of Gionee Pioneer P4S. It features 4.5-inch display with screen resolution of 480x854 pixels. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS and has dual SIM slots. You can expand its 8GB internal storage to 32GB using microSD card. It is backed by a 1,800mAh battery. On imaging front, this smartphone sports a 5MP rear shooter and a 2MP front camera. On connectivity side, this handset offers 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0 and HotKnot options.
