Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL Reported To Launch on 5th October

The Past few weeks have seen a few rumors doing the round regarding the Google’s next set of Pixel phones 2017 aka Pixel 2 and Pixel XL2. Now it is being claimed that this flagship Google mobile will come between September-October. A new report indicates that the upcoming Pixel Smartphone might be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 836 SoC. Evan Blass who is quite accurate with his crack, claims that Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL will be launching on 5th October.

Blass tweet highlights both pixel phones, stating that both the Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 will be powered by Snapdragon 836 Processor. Pixel phones 2017 will be the first phone to be backed by the latest chips. Evan Blass does not reveal any details about the smartphones apart from the processor and launch date. Several images of the phones have also been leaked online, which gives a rough glimpse of the device - i.e. how the device may look like.

Going by all the rumors, the Pixel XL 2 may come with a LG-made AMOLED 6-inch display with minimal bezel design. Moreover, the smartphone is also expected to come with right next to the front facing camera, wide speaker grille at the top.

A perception video that was leaked a few months ago shows minimal bezels and dual cameras for Pixel 2. The leaked perception video also hints that the upcoming Google Pixel 2 will feature a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner which will be placed right below the dual rear camera. The Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 both the devices are said to come with dual rear cameras. While some reports claim that the device may come with the single camera.

To recall, Google Pixel will come with a 5.00-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels at a PPI of 441 pixels per inch. On the camera front, Google Pixel will have a 12-megapixel rear camera sensor at the back coupled with LED flash, which sits right next to the camera ring. For the selfie and video, the handset might feature a 7-megapixel selfie snapper. The connectivity option includes 3.5mm audio jack.
