HTC One M9e launched with MediaTek Helio X10 SoC

HTC has come up with a new device to showcase its One M9 series. The device One M9e launched has high specs to surface the mediocre range of phones in the market. The smartphone is firstly launched in China with a price tag of CNY 2,700 (approximately Rs. 27,650). It is now available via e-commerce site to purchase.

The Taiwanese company has launched the device as One M9e, but various small Chinese retailers have thought this as One M9 and listed the reminiscent design of the same as One M9. There is no word yet on the launch of the device worldwide.

The smartphone features 5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixel) IPS display. It is powered by 2.2GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6795T Helio X10 processor and clubbed with 2GB RAM. It is further provided with an on-board storage of 16GB, which is further expandable by a microSD card (up to 2TB). Connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, Infrared, DLNA, FM radio, and NFC.

Running Android 5.0 Lollipop with Sense, the One M9e supports single Nano-SIM. On the snapper’s front, it has 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, autofocus, BSI sensor, OIS (optical image stabilization), support for 1080p video recording and a LED flash module. The selfie portrait includes UltraPixel front camera. Measuring 144.6x69.7x9.61mm, the device weighs 157 grams. It packs 2840mAh non-removable battery, which is rated to deliver a huge time talk value with longer standby hours.

The company had unveiled One M9+ Supreme earlier, which was just similar in specs as One M9+, excluding the similarity in rear camera. The company has further provided the users with a special ‘promotional pre-sale offer’ on its One A9, which costs $399.99 (roughly Rs. 26,000) and would end by November 7. After the special sale, the smartphone will cost $100 more, which is $499.99 (roughly Rs. 32,500) unlocked.
