In February, HTC has launched two of its smartphone, the U Ultra flagship and the U-Play mid-ranger in India at price sticker of Rs 59,990 and Rs 39,990 respectively. Just months after launch, HTC has slashed the price of both the mentioned variants. The former gets Rs 7000 drop in price and now price at Rs 52,990 while the U-Play which gets Rs 10,000 cut today, will now be available to purchase at Rs 29,990, exclusively on Amazon India.
The HTC U Play is available only in two colour options of Sapphire Blue and Brilliant Black. And, the customers can get the benefit of the zero cost EMI offer for a limited time period. The HTC U Play purchase under credit card EMI will make you avail of Rs 2,300 Amazon Pay cashback along with one year insurance coverage for accidental and damages caused by liquid from Cover Plus for free.
In India, the HTC U Play has been rolled out in 4GB RAM + 64GB storage option by the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer. The smartphone gets a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) Super LCD display with reliable protection of Gorilla Glass. Powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 SoC processor, the smartphone runs on Android 6.0 operating system.
On the camera front, the U Play comes furnished with a 16-megapixel rear camera option with multiple image quality enhancing attributes such as a BSI sensor, optical image stabilisation, PDAF, an f/2.0 aperture, and dual-tone LED flash. While, the front gets a 16-megapixel camera along with an UltraPixel mode, a BSI sensor, an f/2.0 aperture with a 28mm focal length.
The inbuilt storage of the HTC U Play can easily be expanded upto 2TB with the aids of microSD card (up to 2TB). Offered connectivity options in the smartphone comprises 4G LTE with VoLTE, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, NFC, DLNA, Miracast, HTC Connect, and USB 2.0 Type-C. The HTC smartphone sports number of sensors like an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, and gyroscope. Just 145 grams heavier HTC U Play, measures 145.99x72.9x7.99mm in dimensions. A fingerprint sensor has also been studded on the Home Button for easy unlock facility. HTC U Play backs with a 2500mAh battery with fast charging support (5V/2A). The battery is claimed to deliver talktime of 15.21 hours and standby time of up to 427.54 hours.
