Huawei Honor 8 With Dual Camera Setup Launched in India

Huawei, has launched its most awaited Honor 8 smartphone on this Wednesday. The Android smartphone has arrived with some cool features and is priced at Rs 29,999 in the country. It will be made available from Wednesday itself via Amazon India, Flipkart and the company’s official site in Sunrise Gold, Pearl White and Sapphire Blue colour variants.

The company is offering 24-months of extended warranty, 3-months of replacement service for any manufacturing defects, 3-months of screen damage replacement warranty, and ‘Postal repair’ for a Pan-India pick and drop service. The handset is protected by a 2.5D glass protection at both front and rear side and has rounded metal edges.

As per further specifications, the GSM based smartphone features a 5.2-inch full-HD LTPS LCD display of resolution 1080X1920 pixels along with 96 percent NTSC and pixel density of 423 ppi. It is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Kirin 950 processor coupled with Mali-T880 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The handset is blessed by 32GB of inbuilt storage which can be further expanded upto 128GB via microSD card.

The main highlight of the smartphone is its dual camera setup at rear side, in which one camera is used to record colour information, while the other one is used to record in monochrome with higher contrast. Both the cameras works together and the images are then merged together for best photo output. The dual camera setup also features laser autofocus, f/2.2 aperture and dual-tone LED flash.

Apart from these, the optical part of the handset also includes screen-lock snapshot, virtual aperture shooting, professional mode, night shot, food mode, beauty mode, panorama, HDR, watermark, night painting, time-lapse, slow-motion, audio-note, document scan, capture smilies, touch to capture, Sound Snap, delayed shooting, and face detection. An 8-megapixel front shooter is also provided by the company for shooting selfies along with f/2.4 aperture and a support of 1080p video recording.

Honor 8 smartphone is backed up by a 3000mAh battery, which according the company is capable of delivering 9-hours of online video streaming, and 24-hours of online audio streaming. Its fast charging feature can charge your device up to 47 percent in half an hour and full battery can be attained by charging it for 100 minutes.

Connectivity options on the board includes Wi-Fi 802.11, 4G LTE, Bluetooth v4.2, NFC, GPS/A-GPS, and an infrared scanner. In the absence of an FM radio sensor part of the handset includes an ambient light sensor, an accelerometer, a proximity sensor and a gyroscope.

Apart from this, the company has also launched Honor Holly 3, a budget-friendly smartphone with 13-megapixel rear camera and a massive 3100mAh battery priced at Rs 9,999.
