Huawei MediaPad M5 Lite Tablet Launched with 8-inch Full HD display, 4G LTE, Android Pie

Alongside Enjoy 9S and Enjoy 9e, Huawei has also launched the MediaPad M5 Lite 8″. It features 8-inch Full HD screen, is powered by Kirin 710 SoC coupled with up to 4GB RAM, runs EMUI 9.0 based Android 9.0 (Pie), GPU Turbo 2.0, has a 13-megapixel camera at the back and an 8-megapixel selfie camera.

The tablet comes with Dual speaker, Huawei Histen sound support as well as is Harman Kardon audio certified. It packs a 5100mAh battery.

Specifications of the HUAWEI MediaPad M5 Lite 8″

In terms of the specifications, the Huawei MediaPad M5 Lite flaunts an 8-inch Full HD 2.5D curved glass display with screen resolution of 1200 × 1920 pixels. Under the hood, the tablet is powered by an Octa-Core Kirin 710 12nm (4 x 2.2GHz Cortex-A73 +4 x 1.7GHz Cortex-A53) with ARM Mali-G51 MP4 GPU.

The tablet runs EMUI 9.0 based Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. The MediaPad M5 Lite weighs 310 grams and measures 204.2 x 122.2 x 8.2mm. In terms of the connectivity, the device includes 4G LTE (Optional), Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS. It also comes with 3.5mm audio jack, Harman Kardon-certified Stereo speakers, Huawei Histen sound effect. The handset holds a capacity of 5100mAh battery.

In terms of the photography, the Huawei MediaPad M5 Lite at the back has a single camera that houses a 13MP autofocus sensor with f/2.2 aperture. At the front, the tablet flaunts 8MP camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies.

Storage of the HUAWEI MediaPad M5 Lite 8″

The Huawei MediaPad M5 Lite comes in two storage variants which include 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage while the second variant is 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory. Both the variants can further be expanded via a microSD card slot up to 512GB.

Availability of the HUAWEI MediaPad M5 Lite 8″

The Huawei MediaPad M5 Lite 8” comes in two color options i.e. Champagne Gold and Dark Gray. The tablet went on sale on 15 March 2019 i.e. yesterday.

The pricing ranges as per the variants. It comes in four variants i.e.-

1: MediaPad M5 Lite 8″ WiFi 3GB + 32GB (non-calling) comes with the price tag of 1199 yuan i.e. around Rs 12,300 in terms of the Indian Currency.

2: MediaPad M5 Lite 8″ WiFi 4GB + 64GB (non-calling) carries a price sticker of 1399 yuan i.e. approx Rs 14,355.

3: MediaPad M5 Lite 8″ WiFi + 4G 3GB + 32GB (calling) costs 1499 yuan i.e. around Rs 15,380.

4: MediaPad M5 Lite 8″ WiFi + 4G 4GB + 64GB (calling) holds a price tag of 1599 yuan i.e. approx Rs 16,405.
