Meizu Note 8 Launched Featuring 6-inch Display

Meizu, the Chinese consumer electronics company has launched the Note 8 at the mega event in China. The event was conducted on October 25 at the Beijing Performing Arts Center in China. The newly launched Meizu Note 8 shares dual rear camera spec with X8 but come with a slighter small screen. The Meizu Note 8 is equipped with a massive battery as compared to Meizu X-series.

The pre-bookings of the Meizu Note 8 have commenced in China. It will be made available in four- colour options including Black, Blue, Purple and Red colours. The Meizu Note 8 will have to face stiff competition from Redmi Note 6 Pro and other smartphone manufacturers such as Honor, Oppo and Vivo.

Meizu Note 8 Price and Availability

In China, The Meizu Note 8 comes with a price tag of CNY 1,299 which roughly converts into Rs 13,700. The smartphone will be available for purchase from 1st November in China.

Meizu Note 8 Specifications

Meizu Note 8 has been developed with a metallic unibody. It has a 6-inch full-HD+ display which offers the screen of resolution 1080 x 2160 pixels, 450-nit peak brightness, 403 ppi pixels density and 18:9 aspect ratio. The rounded corners and almost bezel-less design at the top and the bottom of the displays are providing the pleasure of premium smartphone in terms of appearance. One must note that the commonly found notch is missing in the Meizu Note 8. It is equipped with Android 8.1 Oreo Operating System (OS).

From the hardware front, the Meizu Note 8 runs on octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 processor coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. The phone has been launched in 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be extended up to 128GB by using a microSD card.

For photography, the Meizu Note 8 has dual cameras on the rear panel consisting of 12-megapixel primary sensor and 5-megapixel secondary sensor with an aperture lens of f/1.9 each. An LED flash is positioned on the top of the rear camera set up. A circular- shaped fingerprint sensor sits below the rear camera with 360-degree recognition angle and support for five fingers.

Under the hood, the Meizu Note 8 is powered by a 3,600mAh battery bundled with an 18W charger which supports fast- charging. The Meizu has offered micro USB port instead of USB Type-C port. The connectivity options on the Meizu include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS/ GLONASS and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. It measures and weighs 153.6x75.5x7.9mm and 168 grams respectively.

It must be noted that Meizu has unveiled Note 8 only in the China market and there is no information when the Chinese company would unveil it in other markets including India.
