Moto X Pure Edition (2015) Starts Receiving Android 7.0 Nougat Update

Lenovo, the Chinese multinational technology company is making praiseworthy efforts to keep the standards up of its sub-brand- Motorola these days. The leading smartphone manufacturer is currently working on the launch of its new Moto devices by the end of this year. Apart from this, the company is also aiming at its old devices, as a recent report states that the Moto X Pure Edition (2015) has started receiving Android 7.0 Nougat update.

As a recall, the Android smartphone made its debut with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop in 2015. However, the company upgraded the OS to Android 6.0 Marshmallow later in 2016. Now, the company has started rolling out the latest Android 7.0 Nougat update for its Moto X Pure Edition smartphone. Still, a 2015 smartphone getting Android 7.0 update is really a surprising thing, but according to some media reports, this is the last software update this device is getting.

The new update brings a lot of changes in the Dual-SIM smartphone including the key feature of multiple split screen. This new feature will allow users to perform more than one task at a single time. Moreover, the update brings directly replying right inside the notification feature that will let user reply directly via ‘Reply’ button in notification bar for any message.

Furthermore, the new OS update in the GSM handset also includes some features like quick switching between apps and an improved Doze Mode for saving battery feature. The company has started rolling out the updates and all of the smartphone users will get it soon.

Still, if you haven’t received the update yet, you can simply head on to the software update option in settings to get the new update. Apart from this, the company is currently working efficiently on other upcoming Moto smartphones such as Moto Z2, E4, and C series. The company has still not disclosed ant details about the new smartphones, but the specifications rumoured around the internet already gave us a rough image of the upcoming offerings, which are expected to be launched by the end of Q4 2017.
