Motorola Droid Turbo 2 launched with 'Shatterproof' display

At the Tuesday event, Motorola has come up with two flagship series devices as Motorola Droid Maxx 2 and Droid Turbo 2. The Droid Turbo 2 is the officially announced smartphone that has adorable feature list to lure customers. The smartphone offers top line specifications. It is majorly focused upon the display that has a Shatterproof shield to protect from breaking.

The smartphone features ‘Shattershield’ which is made of an aluminum rigid core, flexible Amoled screen, and dual-layer touchscreen panels. It is claimed to be strong enough to survive even in the case when dropped on the concrete floor. It comes with a 5.4-inch QHD (1440x2560) display, which is a featured display to be considered in the top specy smartphones list.

The device takes its power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core SoC paired with 3GB of LPDDR4 RAM. It has two storage options to explore: 32GB and 64GB. Both the variants have additional 2TB capacity card slot that is processed to power a huge back up for storing bundle of data to it. Running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS, the device backs up 3760mAh battery which is rated to deliver 2-days under "mixed use", also supports Quick Charging.

At the snapper’s edge, it has 21-megapixel rear-camera with f/2.0 aperture and dual LED flash and Phase Detect Auto-Focus and a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter with flash. The single SIM sporting device includes 4G LTE (Cat 4), 3G, CDMA, Wi-Fi and other standard connectivity options. It has an exclusive availability on Verizon Wireless network in the States at a price tag of $624 (roughly Rs. 40,600) and $720 (roughly Rs. 47,000 retail) off contract for the 32GB and 64GB variants respectively. No words have been uttered yet on the other market availability.

The device will be available in United States from 29 October. It will be available in a trade-in offer for up to $300 off on the upgrade to the new Droid Turbo 2.

Motorola says that it will provide users with more than 1,000 ways to design their phone, also giving them the option to select materials ranging from ballistic nylon to genuine Horween pebbled leather. It further says that it will accept the smartphones even with a cracked screen, to customize it under the rumored phone customization program to the Droid-branded smartphone.
