MWC 2017: Huawei Will Introduce Watch 2 and P10 Smartphone

Huawei, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has already sent out invitations for its MWC 2017 event on February 26 last month. The company last month was highly expected to upgrade its P9 smartphone, which was launched last year. Confirming it up, Huawei has now introduced images and a video, which shows that the Huawei P10 is going to be unveiled at an event during Mobile World Congress 2017. Furthermore, Richard Yu, chief executive of Huawei’s business group also confirmed the arrival of the Huawei Watch 2 at the same event.

The Chinese manufacturer uploaded some image teasers on social media pages, to announce the arrival of the upcoming P10 smartphone. The teaser video by the company also comes with a tagline, ‘Change the way the world sees you.’ The teaser also points the availability of a dual rear camera setup along with colour option including Gold, Green, and Blue colours.

The Huawei P10 is also said to feature wireless charging, a dual curved screen and a fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button. Moreover, the Android smartphone is expected to be blessed with a 5.2-inch QHD display and powered by a Kirin 960 octa-core processor with Mali G71 octa-core GPU. The handset may arrive in 4GB RAM / 64GB storage and 6GB RAM / 128GB storage variants. It may back up by a 3100mAh battery and include Dual-rear (20-megapixel + 8-megapixel) sensor along with an 8-megapixel front shooter.

Moreover, Richard Yu, the company’s executive also confirmed a Chinese website Weibo the arrival of Huawei Watch 2 in the same event. The company was expected to launch its smartwatch last year but had to wait for Android Wear 2.0 launch. The biggest highlight of the smartwatch is supposed to be a built-in SIM card slot availability for cellular connectivity.
