Nokia X6 is the first smartphone that comes with an iPhone X-like notch and initially it was launched at an event conducted in China on 16th May 2018. When HMD Global launched Nokia X6 in China, the company had not provided any details regarding the global launch of the gadget since then the smartphone started sporting on Bluetooth certification website and international website which pointing towards that the HMD Global is planning to soon launch the Nokia X6 globally including India.

A user guide of Nokia X6 along with some significant specification goes live on the company’s official website in India.The support page reads, "Your mobile device is also designed to meet the requirements for exposure to radio waves established by the India Department of Telecommunications.
These requirements set a SAR limit of 1.6 W/kg averaged over one gram of tissue.” A user guide is currently available on the Indian website of Nokia which pointing towards that the company could soon launch the smartphone in the Indian market.
Nokia X6 is the first smartphone from HMD Global that features a cut-out display on the top similar to Apple iPhone X. The smartphone has 5.8-inch full HD+ display along with a screen resolution of 2280 X 1080 pixels, and 19:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 which protects the Nokia X6 from damaging and breaking. It is created with an aluminum alloy metal and glass sandwich. In terms of dimensions, it measures 147.2 x 70.98 x 8.59mm.
In terms of hardware, Nokia X6 has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM/6GB RAM and 32GB/64GB internal storage with an option to extend further up to 256GB by using a memory card. We have to wait for the official launch to see which of the variants of Nokia X6 HMD Global might be offered in India.
Nokia X6 features vertically stacked rear cameras and packs a dual 16MP+5MP sensors offering an aperture of f/2.0. At the front, the smartphone gets a 16MP selfie shooter with an aperture rate of f/2.2. Both front, as well as rear camera, have AI features and HDR support. Under the hood, it is powered by a 3060 mAh battery and supports an older micro USB 2.0 port to charge the smartphone.
The Nokia X6 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box and soon will be updated to Android P. In China, HMD Global has launched the X6 by offering a face unlock which unlock the smartphone by using facial expressions. The camera app is preloaded with features such as stickers, emotions, and filters. The connectivity options on the Nokia X6 are WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/AGPS+GLONASS+Beidou and this is a 4G LTE phone.
It will be interesting to know at what price HMD Global would launch the Nokia X6 in India. In China, X6 has been priced at Yuan 1299 (approximately Rs 14,000) for 4GB RAM +32GB internal storage, whereas 4GB RAM+64GB internal storage is available at Yuan 1499, (approximately Rs 16,000). The top 6GB RAM+64GB internal storage variant is to be made available at Yuan 1699 which roughly translates to Rs 18,000.
