To gain a mastery in the space of smart devices, Obi has rolled out its new smartphone: Hornbill S551. By launching this avian-named device, the well-known budget mobile maker has heated up the segment of camera-centric handhelds. Notably, it has been arrayed with massive 13MP Auto Focus rear snapper that is clubbed with Sony's IMX111/ IMX219 sensor with LED flash.
Its luxurious back camera is decked with some appealing features such as HDR, face beautification, multi shot panorama, face detection, which make the handset a best proposition for photography-lovers. It also incorporates a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter just like its predecessors Crane S550 and Leopard S502.
The new creation of Obi is armed with 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 SoC along with Android KitKat 4.4.2 operating system. To provide a smooth and efficient mobile-experience, gadget includes 1GB of RAM. Its mammoth 5.5-inch HD IPS display could be a major factor in enhancing the eagerness of masses. Here, mobile has been said to deliver a pixel resolution of 720x1280p, whereby the users can enjoy vivid photos and video.
The dual-SIM supported mobile phone is housed with GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB, GPS connectivity options.
