After teasing the rumors on the internet from last few months, OnePlus Shenzhen based smartphone manufacturer has launched the much anticipated OnePlus 6 globally at an event in London on 16th May. As expected, the smartphone goes official in India on 17th May in Mumbai at 3PM, where the Chinese company also unveiled the Marvel Avengers Limited Edition along with regular OnePlus 6 variant. The OnePlus 6 is titled with a tagline ‘The Speed You Need’ and it is equipped with most alluring features of the year and boasts a notch on the top of the display similar to Apple iPhone X.

The company stated at the launch event OnePlus 6 is one of the fastest flagship smartphones which is being offered by the Chinese tech giant, OnePlus. "This is the fastest flagship experience OnePlus has ever created”, the company stated.
At the launch event in London on 16th May, the company also launched the OnePlus Bullets Wireless headphones alongside OnePlus 6 flagship smartphone. The Bullet Wireless earphones will be priced at $69/€69/£69 and it will be available for purchase from 5th June. As of now, the company has not announced the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Earphones price in India, though it is expected that it will unveil at the launch event in Mumbai on 17th May.
The Wireless Headphone comes with Dash Charging feature which the company claims that the smartphone can run as long as 5 hours only on a charge of 10 minutes. The devices feature a USB Type-C port for connectivity. The wireless earphone is equipped with Google Assistant which the users can access it simply by long pressing the center button. The wireless headphones have a magnetic control and a powerful 9.2mm audio drivers coupled with aptX support which provides good audio sound.
Now again coming to the OnePlus 6, the company has launched the flagship smartphone in three storage variants: 6GB of RAM+64GB Internal Storage, 8GB of RAM+128GB of Internal Storage and 8GB of RAM+256GB Internal Storage. The OnePlus 6 has been priced at Rs. 34,999 for 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage, whereas 8GB RAM/128GB storage costs around Rs 39,999. It must be noted that the Marvel Avengers Limited Edition is available in one variant 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage which is priced at Rs 44,999 in India.
The OnePlus 6 features a 6.28-inch FullHD+ display along with the screen resolution of 1080×2280 pixels and a 19:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone has a notch on the top of the display similar to Apple iPhone X.The company has stepped away from its traditional ceramic, metal or sandstone material for the first time ever for its flagship model and has introduced an all-glass design with the OnePlus 6. The company claims that the glass is nearly shatter-proof with Gorilla Glass 5 level protection. The phone is available in Mirror Black, Midnight Black, and a limited edition Silk White variants.
For the first time, the Chinese company has offered the flagship smartphone in an all-glass design. Earlier, the company had used ceramic, metal or sandstone material in its previous OnePlus smartphones. The company claims that the smartphone is resistant to the Gorilla Glass 5 level which helps to protect it. The company has launched the smartphone in Mirror Black, Midnight Black, and Silk White as a limited edition variant.
As rumored, the OnePlus 6 is embedded with the most powerful octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC which clocked at 2.8 GHz. As stated above the smartphone is available in three storage variants: 6GB of RAM+64GB Internal Storage, 8GB of RAM+128GB of Internal Storage and 8GB of RAM+256GB Internal Storage. The smartphone does not support memory card.
In terms of camera, the OnePlus 6 packs a dual 20MP + 16MP rear cameras with an aperture of f/1.7, offers several features such as autofocus, dual-LED flash along with face detection. The rear camera comes with OIS and EIS which helps to click better quality photos and the smartphone also has a 1.22µm to capture photos during the low- light conditions. For the selfie snapper, the smartphone gets a 16MP front-facing camera with an aperture of f/2.0.
The OnePlus 6 packs a 3300mAh battery along with a Dash-Charge feature. The smartphone brings a Facial Recognition feature which unlocks the smartphone in just 0.4 seconds, claims company. The smartphone also has a fingerprint scanner positioned on the rear panel of the smartphone. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo OS based on Oxygen OS custom UI. In terms of dimensions, it measures 155.7x75.4x7.8mm and the weight of the smartphone is 177 grams. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone includes Wi-Fi support, Bluetooth 5.0, Type-C 1.0 connector and more.
The OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Limited Edition is now available for purchase in India at a price tag of Rs 44,999. The users can purchase the smartphone from Amazon.in, oneplus.in, and it will be available in limited quantities. The OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Edition comes with a unique symbol of Avengers which is positioned on the rear panel of the smartphone, a carbon fibre texture pattern under the rear glass panel, OnePlus logo in the gold color in the front side as well as gold themed Alert Slider. The Marvel Avengers Edition is equipped with five Avengers wallpapers. Even, the box of the smartphone also has ‘Avengers’ Logo which highlighting the OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Limited Edition. The new OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Limited Edition model comes with Iron Man-themed back cover.
The regular OnePlus 6 and Marvel Avengers Limited Edition is identical to each other in terms of specifications excluding some differences and the major difference is that the OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Limited Edition comes with 256GB internal storage and 8GB of RAM. Interested users who will be able to wait for some time can purchase the Marvel Avengers Limited Edition from OnePlus Experience Store in Bengaluru, OnePlus authorized stores, Croma retail stores which will start from 3rd June. This is the second time that the Shenzhen- based company has partnered with Marvel to offer Marvel Avengers Edition in India, previously in December 2017 the company had partnered with Star Wars and launched OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition in India. As per the reports, it seems that OnePlus 6 Silk White Variant Limited Edition is likely to be available for purchase from 5th June.
At the time of launching OnePlus 6, the company had promised that soon the flagship smartphone would bring a selfie- portrait mode via OTA update. A few days ago, OnePlus 6 users have started receiving OxygenOS 5.1.6 software update in China and now the OnePlus has officially announced that OxygenOS 5.1.6 OTA update for OnePlus 6 India users. The new software update comes with several new features such as it supports VoLTE on Idea connections, selfie-portrait mode and also demonstrates the battery percentage in the status bar for the OnePlus 6 users in India.
