OnePlus, Shenzhen based company, had launched the OnePlus 6 in India in May this year with OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Limited Edition which was the single variant that has 8GB RAM+256GB internal storage. The Limited Edition model was available in limited quantities and the smartphone sold instantly within a few days of the launch.

At the time of the official launch, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer company had not launched the regular Midnight Black Color 8GB RAM+256GB internal storage of OnePlus 6 in India, as the company stated we had no plans to bring this variant to the Indian market. It seems that the Chinese company has changed their mind and is now ready to launch the 8GB RAM/256GB storage variant in India. This variant has been priced reasonably as compared to the Marvel Avengers Limited Edition.
OnePlus stated in a press release while launching the Midnight Black 8GB RAM and 256GB variant in India, "Following the overwhelming response to the OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Limited Edition in India, which was the only variant of the OnePlus 6 to pack 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, OnePlus offers its community another variant of the OnePlus 6 packed with 256GB. The 256GB variant has been met with unprecedented popularity both globally and in India and has become a community favorite in a short time."
Midnight Black 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant of OnePlus 6 has been priced at Rs. 43,999 and it will be available for purchase from 10th July via Amazon.in. The high storage variant of Midnight Black Color will also be available on Oneplus.in website as well as the OnePlus authorized retail channel partners throughout the country will start selling the phone from 14th July.
Interestingly, ‘Notify Me’ button went live on Amazon.in and the users will get notification automatically once the smartphone would be available for purchase at Amazon. One Plus 6, 8GB RAM and 256GB inbuilt storage variant has been priced at Rs 43,999 which is Rs 1000 lower than the Marvel Avengers Limited Edition.
To recall, OnePlus 6 features a 6.28-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display, 19:9 aspect ratio and has a screen resolution of 1080x2280 pixels. The smartphone gets a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the top which protects the smartphone from damages and scratches.
In terms of software, it runs on top of the line Android 8.1 Oreo operating system the which is compatible with Android P software update, stated company. Under the hood, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 256 GB internal storage.
In terms of optics, OnePlus 6 has vertically positioned cameras on the rear panel including a 16MP+20MP sensors, featuring a dual LED flash, an aperture of f/1.7, Optical Image Optimization (OIS) and Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS). For selfies and video calling, the smartphone has a 16MP Sony IMX371 sensor. It is armed with a 3300mAh battery with the Dash Charge Technology.
