OnePlus X launched with 5-inch display, 3GB RAM at Rs. 16,999

OnePlus has launched its third flagship smartphone as OnePlus X to feature high specs in the mediocre market range. With this flagship killer set, the company had also unveiled OnePlus One and OnePlus 2 smartphones. The dual-SIM smartphone will go on sale via Amazon India, with two variants priced at Rs. 16,999 for the Onyx variant and Rs. 22,999 for the limited edition Ceramic variant.

The sale for Onyx variant will start from November 5, while Ceramic variant will hit the mark from November 24. The device is highly figured in both the variants, supporting similar specification list. Both provides the same features but have different outlook with the coating on the outer part.

The smartphone runs OxygenOS based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. It is a 5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) Amoled display device which is providing a high capacity to feature adorable screen display. It is powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM. It features a hardware Alert Slider and capacitive keys.

The device has a hybrid dual-SIM slot, with the second slot usable for microSD cards. The camera panel is integrated with 13-megapixel rear camera with flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The in-built storage sported by the device has 16GB space that is expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB). It packs 2525mAh battery and bears a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel.

The company has announced it to be the first made in India product by the company. It has two variants that weighs differently. The Onyx variant weighs 138 grams, while the Ceramic variant weighs in at 160 grams. The connectivity options include support for Indian 4G LTE bands, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, FM radio and Micro-USB. Along with this, the OnePlus X StyleSwap covers will also be made available soon.
