Oppo Launches F5 Youth Edition, Oppo A79: Know All About These Two Latest Budget Mobiles

Oppo F5 Youth Edition has been made official, featuring the 6-inch 18:9 display and a downgraded camera setup. The device is now available in the Philippines in Black and Gold colors for PHP 13,990 (or approx Rs 17,835). Oppo F5 Youth edition should be seen as the affordable version of the popular F5 model. Apart from this, the Oppo has also launched the Oppo A79, that will be launched in China on December 1st at a price of CNY 2,399 ( Approx. Rs. 23,500).

Oppo F5 Youth Edition:

This latest Oppo smartphone doesn't look too different from the Oppo F5 in terms of design and looks. However, it features lower specifications from the original model. The device runs the company’s ColorOS 3.2, which is based on Android 7.1 Nougat. It packs a MediaTek Helio P23 processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage expandable via internal storage. The Oppo F5 Youth edition retains the 6-inch FHD+ (2160 x 1080) display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. On the optics front, Oppo F5 Youth edition is getting a downgraded camera setup. It has a 13MP rear shooter with f/2.2 lens and a 16MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture. In comparison, Oppo F5 has a 20MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture. The new addition to the handset is the artificial intelligence tech to scan over 200 facial recognition spots to produce better selfies. Oppo F5 Youth edition is backed by a 3200mAh battery. Connectivity options include dual-SIM, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and OTG support.

Oppo A79

This handset comes with a 6.01-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 2160 pixels and has been powered by 2.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6763T processor along with 4GB of RAM. It has 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded via a microSD card up to 128GB. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Oppo A79 packs a 16-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 16-megapixel front shooter for selfies. The Oppo A79 runs Android 7.1 and is powered by a 3000mAh non-removable battery and is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone. The connectivity options included are Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, 3G and 4G and top smartphone sensors on it are the Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, and Ambient light sensor. There is a 3000mAh battery that supports Oppo's VOOC technology to deliver fast charging support and will come in Champagne and Black color options.
