The domestic Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) had launched Jio Phone 2 on 5th July in its 41st annual general meeting (AGM). The Reliance JioPhone 2 is a successor of previously launched Jio feature phone which has been considered the most- selling feature phone in India. The JioPhone 2 comes with some upgrades and improved specifications as compared to previously launched JioPhone.
The Reliance JioPhone 2 has been priced at Rs 2,999 and this time the telecom operator is not offering the option of a refund like the Reliance previously offered in its first feature phone. The recently launched Reliance JioPhone 2 is available for purchase only at Jio.com website via flash sale which is to be scheduled at 12 PM today (16th August).
Interested buyers who want to purchase the feature phone must visit the official website of Reliance and should keep refreshing the page in every few minutes before 12PM as high traffic is about to arrive on the website. The company reported that buyers who purchase the QWERTY-based JioPhone 2 in flash sale will get deliveries within 5-7 business days.
Reliance JioPhone 2 features a 2.4QVGA display and runs KaiOS. The smart feature phone is bundled with 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage that can be extended further up to 128GB with the help of SD card.
In terms of photography, the JioPhone 2 brings a 2-megapixel sensor on the rear panel and VGA front-facing camera. Under the hood, it is powered by a 2000mAh battery. The smart feature phone has LTE dual-SIM, VoLTE, FM, VoWi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi, and NFC. The feature phone comes with popular messaging applications namely Facebook, YouTube, and WhatsApp. Alongside QWERTY keypad, the smart feature phone is touting to have four navigation key as well as the dedicated button for the voice command similar to the Jio Phone.
