Although Samsung has not yet confirmed any official date for the launch of the new smartphone in its Note series, many news sources have reported that the South Korean electronics manufacturer could launch the new Samsung Galaxy Note 8 by next month to overcome the poor sales of the recently launched Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus phones.
The Bell and the Investor, which are two of the most famous South Korean news channels, have recently published news about the possible worldwide launch of Galaxy Note 8 on August 23. If the news reports are to be believed, the new Galaxy Note phone will be available to the general population by September this year. The sooner than expected launch of Samsung Galaxy Note 8 may have also been triggered by the upcoming release of iPhone8 in September by the rival company Apple.
It is still too soon to be talking about the features and specifications of the next Samsung phone as there are no news about the possible improvements or changes.
In January 2017, Samsung's mobile chief DJ Koh had confirmed that the new Galaxy Note phone will be launched later this year, and it will be safer than its predecessor. Samsung had also hinted during the announcement of its quarterly results that it may launch a new flagship smartphone sometime in the second half of this year.
It will be interesting to see how Samsung manages to overcome the failure of Galaxy Note 7 by introducing its successor so soon.
