Samsung Galaxy S9 to Get Never Seen Before Features: Confirmed

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9 and its Plus variant which are the much-hyped products from the South Korean smartphone company, has been explained to a great extent at specifications front from the last week leak. Though, there was confusion that the surfaced information is correct or speculated. Now, the recent revealing from the renowned ET News is confirming the emergence of two such features those were never seen before on any Android smartphone.

1. All New Display with Y-OCTA Technology:

Samsung that has already received appreciation for its infinity display, is now going to bestow something more impressive and cutting edge in terms of technology. Earlier than this, the brand has supplied panels for the most talked iPhone X model. The new Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9 Plus will get a touchscreen display that has never been used earlier. Also, the information from the ET News is confirming that the upcoming smartphone will be furnished with Y-OCTA (Youm On-Cell Touch AMOLED) technology that is going to be used for the first time in smartphones. With the support of Y-OCTA, the smartphone manufacturer will be able to fix the touch sensor directly on the flexible OLED layer that will keep the thickness and weight of the smartphone in check. Moreover, the display response will also become much better than ever.

2: Introduction of SLP Mainboards:

SLP mainboards, are firstly used by Apple in its flagship iPhone X model. The SLP stands for Substrate Like PCB that is a circuit miniaturisation technique which makes more space inside smartphone's chassis.

With the SLP, the smartphone’s mainboard gets much space to fit a bigger battery easily. Though, in this case, space is being expected to provide better flow of air to keep the phone cool and maximize its capacity for longer.

But as per the ET News, there is a downside of SLP that only the Exynos versions of the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus will use it. And by following an archaic licensing agreement with Qualcomm, it prevents Samsung from supplying Exynos-based smartphones to the US. So the chances are the US market will exclusively see the Snapdragon 845 based variant of the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus.

Besides, there are not much change is being expected in the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus from the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, as they resembles in looks. So these would be the two new features of the new Galaxy and its Plus variant and will keep its rivals away.
