Tecno Mobile, Hong Kong-based Transsion Holdings has launched a trio of smartphones, dubbed as Camon Air2+, Camon i2, and Camon i2X in the Indian market. All three smartphones have display notch, Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered camera features and Super Full View screen panels.
The company claims that AI-powered camera features have the capability to scan up to 298 facial points. All three smartphones have dual cameras on the rear panel.
The key highlights of Camon iAir2+, Camon i2, and Camon i2X include 19:9 aspect ratio, 3,750mAh battery and supports dual- sim and both of the sim cards are compatible with VoLTE support.
In India, The Tecno Camon iAir 2+ comes with a price tag of Rs 8,999, whereas the Camon i2 has been priced at Rs 10,499 and the Camon i2X is available for purchase at Rs 12,499. These smartphones will be available in Aqua Blue, Champagne Gold, and Midnight Black color options.
The deliveries of these smartphones have started from the launch date itself i.e., 26th September 2018. The users can purchase the Camon Air2+, Camon i2, and Camon i2X via 35,000 offline retail channels across India.
As a part of launch offers, the newly launched Tecno smartphones will be bundled with Reliance Jio offer amounting Rs 2,250 as well as 50GB 4G data.
As we already mentioned above that Tecno Camon iAir2+, Camon i2, and Camon i2X have been equipped with AI-powered capabilities features such as Auto Scene Detection (ASD) and AI Bokeh mode in the camera app which allow the users to capture clear photos during the night time.
Further, the company claims that its newly launched smartphones automatically adjust the scene details like lighting condition and brightness by using deep learning algorithm which is based nearly on 100,000 Indian profile pictures.
The new Tecno smartphones also have AI Soft Light feature which enhances the photography experience while capturing the selfies. The smartphones have been equipped with Beauty Mode which is touted to scan 298 facial points which brighten the skin tone as well as facial features.
Apart from that, a Video Chat Flash feature is also which enhances video call during night time or low light conditions.
The Tecno Camon iAir2+ bears a 6.2-inch HD+ Super Full View display which offers 720x1440 pixels, 19:9 aspect ratio and 88-percent screen-to-body ratio. On the to, it has a 2.5D curved glass which protects the device from damages and scratches. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo layered with HiOS.
It is powered by a MediaTek quad-core MT6761 processor. It has been equipped with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage that can be further extended up to 128GB by using a microSD card.
In terms of lens, the Tecno Camon iAir2+ packs dual 13MP+2MP cameras on the rear panel. The rear camera set up comes with a quad LED flash. Up front, the smartphone gets 8MP selfie snapper with an aperture of f/2.0. An LED flash is also available in the front panel for capturing better selfies.
The smartphone has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, dual-sim, dual-VoLTE support and Micro-USB as connectivity options. It is armed with a 3,750mAh battery.
Tecno Camon i2 shares some specifications with Camon iAir 2+. Tecno Camon i2 features a similar 6.2-inch HD+ Super Full View display and 19:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo skinned with the top of the line HiOS.
Under the hood, there is a MediaTek MT6761 processor. For storing data, the company has offered 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, that can be further extended up to 128GB by using a microSD card.
The Camon i2 comes with dual cameras consisting of a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor. The rear camera setup accompanied by a quad LED flash. For the selfie snapper, the smartphone gets a 16MP front-facing camera with an aperture of f/2.0.The front panel also has a selfie flash.
The Camon i2 has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, dual- sim, dual VoLTE and Micro-USB. The fingerprint scanner is positioned on the rear panel and also has AI- base Face Unlock feature. It is backed by a 3,750mAh battery.
The Tecno Camon i2X boasts a 6.2-inch HD+ Super Full View display and 19:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a MediaTek MT6762 processor bundled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. Further, the storage capacity can be extended up to 128GB by using a microSD card.
For photography, the Tecno Camon i2X gets dual cameras on the rear panel which includes a 13MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary sensors accompanied by a quad-LED flash. Up front, the smartphone has a 16MP selfie snapper and also has selfie flash.
The connectivity options on the Tecno Camon i2X include VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, dual- sim and Micro-USB. The smartphone has a battery back up of 3,750mAh.
