Now a days, it can be easily seen that everybody is running to purchase a smartphone, in this order, sales of the smartphone is increased by around three-fold in second quarter of this year. Shipment of the smartphones is enhanced by 50 percent.
According to the IDC report, revealed on last Thursday 30 percent of total shipments is covered by Phablets of screen size between 5 and 5.9 inches. Still Samsung is at the top rank and keeps 26 percent of the total market shares. Indian companies Micromax and Karbonn are following Samsung and securing second and third positions respectively. Micromax occupies 22 percent of market shares and Karbonn corners 13 percent of total market shares.
In second quarter, these venders have shipped about 93 lakh smartphones which is thoroughly more than 35 lakh pieces of smaprtphones shipped in second quarter of the last year. The consistent performance of local venders has brought the Indian smartphone market up to the mark just because more than half of the total smartphone market in second quarter is accounted by these venders.
Report also reveals a fact that the exciting schemes like zero percent interest equated monthly installment and cash-back are working in favor of Samsung over the last quarter.
