Xiaomi As An Exhibitor May Unveil Mi 7 at MWC 2018

According to the official website of Mobile World Congress (MWC), confirms that Xiaomi is one of the exhibitors at the event. The recent leaks suggest that Xiaomi will unveil the latest flagship smartphone which is likely to be called Xiaomi Mi 7 later in February month.

The Mi 7 is the successor of Mi 6, which was powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 system-on-chip coupled with 6GB RAM and had a 64GB or 128GB internal storage capacity, sported a 5.1-inch Full HD display and had a dual- rear camera setup featuring with two 12 megapixel sensors and backed by 3350mAh battery.

Apart from the Snapdragon 845 SoC, the company has not revealed more details such as specifications, launch date and price availability about the Mi 7 smartphones. The leaks suggest that Xiaomi Mi 7 is likely to come with a 6-inch screen along with an 18:9 aspect ratio full view display. It seems that the company launched budget smartphones in the previous year along with 18:9 screen aspect ratio. It is anticipated that the Xiaomi Mi 7 will come with a wireless charging support, facial unlock feature and traditional fingerprint sensor. Xiaomi Mi 7 is likely to come with dual- rear set up.

While attending the Technology Summit in Hawaii last month, Lei Jun, founder, and CEO of Xiaomi said that Mi 7 will be the first smartphone of this year which will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC. “Xiaomi is committed to making devices that combine cutting-edge innovations in technology and beautiful design while defying price expectations, and we have chosen Snapdragon 845 to power our next flagship smartphone”, said Lei Jun.

The recent leaks confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi 7 will come with a Snapdragon 845 Soc along with new CPU cores, new GPU, new ISP, new DSP and it is a major update from the company's side as compared to last year’s Snapdragon 835.

Along with Xiaomi Mi 7, Samsung Galaxy S9 will also unveiled at the same stage in Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018.

If that turns to be true, it will be remindful of MWC 2016 where Samsung Galaxy S7 and the Xiaomi Mi 5 were revealed at the same stage during the event. The customers are eagerly waiting for more information about the Mi 7 which will reveal during the official launch at MWC 2018 sometimes later in February.
