Xiaomi recently announced that is planned to launch the Mi MIX 2 bezel-less display smartphone in India on Tuesday, October 10.The launch event is scheduled to be held in New Delhi starting at 11.30am Indian time, Flipkart has uncovered that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will be exclusively available on its platform in India. To remember, the Mi Mix 2 was launched in China last month alongside the Xiaomi Mi Note 3. Notably, the Mi MIX 2 India launch will be the first premium smartphone the Chinese firm has brought to India because of the Xiaomi Mi 5 back in March previous yr.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 was unveiled in 3 RAM and storage variants - 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage at CNY 3,299 (approximately Rs. 32,300), 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage at CNY 3,599 (approximately Rs. 35,300), and 6GB RAM and 256GB internal storage at CNY 3,999 (approximately Rs. 39,200). The company had also unveiled the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 Special Edition 8GB of RAM, 128GB internal storage, and a full ceramic body, at CNY 4,699 (approximately Rs. 46,000).
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2's biggest highlight is, of course, its bezel-less display. It comes with 5.99-inch full-HD display with the resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels, 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core SoC paired with Adreno 540 GPU, and 6GB of RAM and128GB of inbuilt storage that is not expandable via microSD card.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 smartphone is equipped with 12-megapixel primary camera with Sony IMX386 sensor, and 4-axis optical image stabilization (OIS). For the selfie and video chat the smartphone comes with 5-megapixel camera with the Beautify mode, 1080p video calling feature and a selfie countdown feature.

On the software front, the Mi MIX 2 runs on Android Nougat operating system with Xiaomi’s MIUI 9 custom skin layered atop. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) Wi-Fi 802.11c, Bluetooth 5.0,GPS/ A-GPS, and USB Type-C. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, an infrared sensor, and proximity sensor. It is backed by a 3,400mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. There is no 3.5mm jack, although users will get a 3.5mm-to-Type C adapter. It measures 152.6x73.95x7.6mm and weighs 163 grams.

As for the features, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2's biggest highlight is its bezel-a lot less display. There is no 'upper lip' above the display, and the front camera has been relegated to the 'bottom lip', a style choice that Xiaomi had used with the previous Mi Mix as well. The smartphone is lighter, smaller, and thinner than its predecessor.
