Xiaomi Redmi 4A: 3GB RAM and 32GB Variant Launched At Rs. 6,999

Xiaomi released a new variant of its Redmi 4A handset in India with additional RAM and storage on Tuesday. The all new Redmi 4A variant comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage that will be made available at price tag of Rs. 6,999 by the company from Mi.com, Flipkart, Amazon India, Paytm, and Tata CliQ from August 31.

Manu Jain, Vice President of Xiaomi and managing director at Xiaomi India, said in a tweet “ Surprise! We are launching a new variant of Redmi 4A (3GB RAM + 32GB flash memory) at an amazing price of Rs. 6,999."

It must be noted that the Xiaomi had launched its budget 4A smartphone in India in March at Rs. 5,999, with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. The Redmi 4A includes dual-SIM card slot, a polycarbonate body and the major highlight of the device is its 5-inch HD display screen with the resolution of 720x1280 pixels. The device is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 SoC coupled with the Adreno 308 GPU.

It is equipped with the 13-megapixel camera on the rear with the f/2.2 aperture along with autofocus with an LED flash and for the selfie and video chat, the smartphone comes with the 5-megapixel snapper. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system wrapped under MIUI 8 and backed by 3,120mAh battery which is non-removable.

The connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/A-GPS and micro USB port and have sensors like-an ambient light sensor, accelerometer gyroscope, and proximity sensor, and infrared. Dimensions of the new Xiaomi smartphone is 139.5x70.4x8.5mm and weighs 131.5 grams.
