Latest Superbook At Rs. 6,650: Converts Android Smartphone Into Laptop

One can now purchase a laptop shell for Android smartphone that gives you a chance to convert your mobile into a laptop. Much like Microsoft's Continuum, the new gadget on Kickstarter can convert smartphone as your PC as well. The aim to create this device is to make PCs more advantageous and sufficiently reasonable for individuals in developing nations like India and South Africa.

Superbook by Andromium is similar to the Microsoft's Continuum

The shell, called Superbook by Andromium, makes an Android mobile work like a desktop or laptop. Andromium propelled this aggressive item on Kickstarter - a site “designed to bring creative projects to life” - and is accessible at $99 or Rs. 6,650. It is basically a “dumb terminal” i.e. a notepad without a processor yet with a keyboard, battery, trackpad and display.

Created by Andrew Jiang and his group at Andromium, the Superbook gives a huge screen, keyboard, and multi-touch trackpad, over eight hours of battery and phone charging abilities. The device when connected to Android smartphone, it launches an application to convey the full laptop experience. As per Andrew, the application is basically Android Continuum that gives you a chance to work consistently - going from phone to notebook.

“With the Superbook, you can do everything you can do on a laptop - and more. With desktop-class browsing, access to office applications, games, and even programming, the opportunities are limitless,” Andromium said in its project description on Kickstarter.
