Datawind who is known to produce low cost tablets for the purpose of education in developing countries and was founded in Montreal, Canada has now come up with their latest gadget, the PC 7SC tablet at a retail price of Rs. 2,999 as an expansion PocketSurfer Series smart phones and the UbiSurfer range of Netbooks. The Tablet is the lowest cost tablet computer with cellular connectivity, allowing anytime and anywhere internet access with a regular SIM.

In addition to regular voice calling functionality, the tablet incorporates DataWind’s web-delivery platform (covered by 18 US and international patents) that allows the devices to deliver the fastest mobile web experience on regular GSM-EDGE based networks, thereby, reducing bandwidth consumption by factors of 10x to 30x and giving a phenomenal browsing speed on 3G and 4G networks. On the specs front, the Datawind Tablet 7SC has a screen size of 17.78 having a display resolution of 52.47ppi. It also comes with 512MB RAM, 4GB of internal memory easily expandable up to 32GB using a MicroSD card and a 1.3Ghz Single core processor by Media Core. The tablet also comes equipped with a 2400mAh battery and runs on Android Kitkat v4.4.2 operating system. It is light in weight and smart to carry.
