Samsung Gear Circle: A Necklace-shaped Digital Earphone

After introducing Gear S smartwatch, now Samsung has one more wearable device to launch that is its Bluetooth headset which is nominated as Gear Circle. As per the company, it is a wireless headphone that is basically a digital necklace. Apart from providing audio playback for music and a mic for voice commands, the gadget is designed to be paired with a smartphone via Bluetooth to inform the wearer for notifications.

The gadget is similar to existing high-end earphones and headsets, which will vibrate whenever someone will call the user as well as it will receive calls. Notably, there is one thing that is new about the headset is its magnetic locking system that clasps around the user's neck when not in use and vibrates to signal incoming calls and notifications.

However, discussing the features and other specs of Gear circle, then it is backed with 180mAh Li-ion battery that is rated to deliver 300 hours of standby time. The device is also expected to provide the continuous talk time of 11 hours along with 9 hours of music play time. Moreover, the Circle will be charged through a microUSB and it supports Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi-Fi.

In the pursuance of reports and product gallery, the device is anticipated to be available in two color variants those are white/silver and blue/black respectively. Although, the pricing details of this upcoming gadget are still yet-to-be announced by the firm.

Apparently, CEO and head of IT & mobile communication at Samsung Electronics, JK Shin has stated that Gear Circle will begin rolling out in international markets from the beginning of October. He has also claimed that the company is striving constantly to develop wearable category through progressive innovation and this forthcoming gadget is an emblem of their hard endeavor.
