Self proclaimed as "World's Sixth Sense" FLIR, pioneering in the field of thermal imaging has developed an infra red camera, which is compatible with smartphones. The instrument is available all over the world with the name of FLIR One plug-in thermal imaging accessory. The U.S based imaging company has developed this accessory for Android and iOS handsets.

The device for iOS is now available for users, having a price quotation of $ 249.99. Whereas, the devices compatible with Android wold be available from July. FLIR One can be attached to your iPhone with help of micro USB and is powered by an internal core and features a Lepton thermal core.
According to FLIR, the new FLIR One can measure the temperature variation as low as tenth of a degree. In the language of company officials "The technology enables a host of practical applications, from identifying energy inefficiencies and water leaks in a home, to enabling safe and enjoyable outdoor exploration."

The organization is planning to launch Software Development Kits (SDK) for the developers of both, Android and iOS, so that they can develop and launch apps for both platform devices. During the launch, President and CEO of FLIR Systems said, "Last year, we successfully introduced the world to the FLIR One, the world's first thermal imaging accessory for a smartphone. This next generation FLIR One builds on this success by offering higher performance, broader compatibility, and a compelling value proposition. And with the launch of our new application developer support programs, we expect to see new applications and use cases emerge for this new FLIR One platform."
