Vivo Could Launch Optical Fingerprint Sensor in Smartphones Before Samsung and Apple

Vivo, the Chinese smartphone manufacturing firm is undoubtedly evolving and growing with a rapid speed and has been successful in making a reputed place in the global smartphone market. Looking at the tough competition and higher user expectations, the company has now planned to compete directly with the giant smartphone manufacturers including Samsung and Apple.

According to some reports, Vivo is planning to unveil optical fingerprint sensor technology to its smartphone model before Samsung and Apple. The company is believed to showcase a brand new handset featuring a fingerprint sensor housed under the display at MWC Shanghai this month. A working prototype of the upcoming smartphone has already been leaked on China's microblogging platform Weibo.

Meanwhile, Apple, the silicon valley organisation is planning to introduce this technology (Touch ID embedded under the display) in its iPhone 8 smartphone, which is going to be launched sometime later this year. On the other hand, Samsung is also reportedly working on the same technology for its upcoming smartphones. But, according to a Chinese analyst, Vivo will be the first in unveiling a smartphone along with this new unlocking technique on June 28.

Chinese smartphone manufacturers have been fluent in developing new technology before their US and Korean rivals. Just as a recall, Oppo, at MWC showcased its ravishing camera technology with 5x optical zoom, whereas the OnePlus is leading the pack with the development of reliable fast charging technology.
