Xiaomi Planning to Launch its Own Smartwatch by Next Year

It is not new to anyone that the market of smartwatches are at boom currently. Thinking in the same prospect, Chinese electronics giant, Xiaomi is planning to get into the race of smartwatch. After gaining third position in the worlds smartphone manufacturing list, it is planning to launch its own wearable device. There are few hints that are pointing towards its intentions towards entering the wearable device market soon.

Xiaomi's global vice-president, Hugo Barra called for user reviews in a YouTube video about what are they expecting from a smartwatch. Based on that reviews here might be chances that the company will initialize the production of wearables. He quoted that “You'd be absolutely amazed if you'd see all the things that we experiment with here at Xiaomi”.

At present the company is already selling its Mi Band which can track movements and sleeping pattern. It is a water resistant device. Apart from this, it is having an ability to unlock a smartphone. Xiaomi is also working to launch 4G smartphone at a least payable cost that is expected to be nearly Rs 4000.

Many tech giants like Samsung, Sony have already showcased it's wearables in the market where Apple watch is going to hit the market in 2015, it will be really tough for Xiaomi to gain profit and to grab the market up to its expected level. Believing the source, presently smartwatches are having a market of nearly USD 12.9 billion, with more than 92.6 million devices sold.
