Ashok Leyland is an Indian automobile maker company founded by giant conglomerate Hinduja Group. The company was founded in 1948 and basically it leads in the market by making buses and trucks. It is headquartered in Chennai, Tamilnadu. Mainly the company concentration on the making to automobiles but it also produces military vehicles, engines and spare parts.
Ashok Leyland has a joint venture with Nissan motors for their business in light commercial vehicles. The company serves in Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka also. The range of trucks and buses is quite powered by high quality and performance. It is the first auto maker company of India to get ISO 9002 certificate.
It has many plans to expand the business including some acquisitions. City buses in cities like Chennai and Jaipur are running successfully while commercial vehicles like fire trucks, fuel trucks and goods carrier are also going well in the industry.
