2017 Nissan GT-R Nismo Officially Revealed

After making global debut with the standard 2017 Nissan GT-R, now the automaker has officially revealed the Nismo version of the model. This is said to be the hard-core limited edition model that has been previewed at the Nurburgring circuit located in Germany. It is likely to be available for delivery by the end of this year.

On the exterior counterpart, the GT-R Nismo’s front fascia resemble to the standard version but with some few tweaks and upgradation. The front profile now houses a new bumper. The bumpers are made up of carbon fibre, which went missing on the standard version. The new Nismo version is claimed to offer more downforce along with improved performance and stability. The new addition in the interior is the pair of Recaro carbon bucket seats made under red Alcantara upholstery, giving premium look.

Since, the body styling remains same but the mechanicals have been upgraded. The chassis is more stiffer and tougher than the standard version. Also the Nismo version comes equipped with special Nismo shock absorbers, stabilizers and springs. In comparison to the previous model, the Nismo model boasts about better handling and performance.

Under the hood lies the same unchanged 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 engine that makes out a maximum power of 592bhp at 6,800rpm along with 652Nm of torque between 3,600rpm and 5,600rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

The car will be positioned above the standard nissan GT-R model. The 2017 Nissan GT-R Nismo will be available in five different colour options. However, the deliveries for the 2017 Nissan GT-R Nismo is expected to commence by the end of this year.
