Audi to Quit Production of A6 Hybrid Sedan!!

It was the year 2011 when the Audi lunched its A6 executive limousine sedan in Europe and Asia. The car was launched in both hybrid and conventional fuel variants, however in India, Audi didn't launch the hybrid variant. Now, looking up to the reports, there have been just 4000 units were sold in the last 3 years and among them 3,200 units were sold in Asia only. Well, the number is just not up to the mark of for a company like Audi and this could be a potential reason that the German automaker has decided to put an end on the production of this car.

Although, it hasn't been confirmed by the company that only Europe and Asia both or only a particular market will see the end of this sedan in hybrid variant. Also, the future of petrol and diesel sedans is uncertain too, but Indian market seems quite good with the performance of this A6 sedan. The hybrid car was powered by 2.0 Litre 4-Cylinder turbocharged engine with 44 hp electric motor producing a sum of 241 hp power.

However, the hybrid fever is not looking to take a drop in the strategy making of the Audi's plans as many of the cars like Audi A8 and Q5 will be making their debut soon in the market in hybrid versions. Also, Audi A6 too has a chance of standing in the market as a plug-in hybrid this time. But, nothing is certain for now and we'll bring the latest on it as soon as we can.
