Facelift Honda City Teasers Released Prior to Launch in January 2017

Honda Thailand has released the first set of teaser images of the upcoming 2017 City sedan. The updated 2017 Honda City will first hit the showroom floors in Thailand on January 12 next year and thereafter the facelift model will be launched in the global market including India in the same month.

Honda is gearing up to bring the updated version of the much-anticipated sedan in India which is likely to happen in next month. And before that, some of the exterior details of the car has been revealed officially in the several teaser images. The details revealed on the teasers give a thought about the front of the car that seems to be its styling clues from the Civic. The headlamps inserts will receive a new profile and come fitted with the projector lamps. Similar to the Civic, it features chrome strip that runs across grille and holds company’s emblem at the center. Further, the more prominent air dams and fog lamps complete the front profile.

Moving on the sides, the new City will likely to remain unchanged with the newly designed alloy wheels for the higher variant. At the rear, the bumper will receive several updates and taillamps will get minor tweaks with LED inserts that explain Honda’s latest design language.
The other noteworthy updates on the 2017 Honda Civic include an all new smart infotainment system with Android connectivity and a mobile morning app. This system will also be developed to recognise Indian-accent based voice commands for the navigation system. Other details are six airbags as a standard on the range-topping version, leather seats and a soft touch dashboard.

Once launched in India, Honda will be battling out the 2017 City against the likes of the recently updated Skoda Rapid, Maruti Ciaz, Hyundai Verna and the Volkswagen Vento sedans.
