Hero MotoCorp Revives 2017 Splendor Plus For BS-IV Compliance And AHO Feature

Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, is all geared to serve a wide section of Indian society with its recently upgraded flagship model, the 2017 Splendor Plus, for BS-IV emission norms and Auto Headlamp On (AHO) feature.

The Splendor brand, which is one of the most selling brands for the automaker, had observed the emergence of “Splendor Plus” variant in 2007, with alloy wheels instead of spoke wheels. Since, the commuter had gone through only cosmetic updates of new paint schemes and graphics addition, and nothing else.

For this mandatory inclusion of BS-IV compliant engine and AHO feature, Hero charged a little extra around a few bucks over the BS-III Splendor Plus prices, which were available to purchase in the price bucket of INR 47,280 and INR 49,530 (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi).

Moreover, the powertrain has not been altered besides being upgraded to BS-IV compliance. The similar 97.2 cc single cylinder engine of last going model, will take care the propelling duties with the churn output of 8.36 PS maximum power at 8,000 rpm and 8.05Nm of peak torque at 5,000 rpm via a 4-speed gearbox. The BS-III Splendor Plus was claimed to attain the top speed of 87 km/h.

Runs on the 18-inch alloy wheels with 2.75 tyre specification at both ends, the Hero Splendor Plus get suspended on to the conventional telescopic front forks and rear dual shock absorbers with no adjustability. Whereas, the braking job is under the consideration of 130mm drum brake at front and an 110 mm drum brake at the rear.

The 2017 Hero MotoCorp is available in wide range of colours which includes Candy Red, High Granite Blue, Cloud Silver, Palace Maroon, Black with Silver, Black with Purple Silver, Black with Purple, Black with Purple Red and Excellent Blue, to opt your favorite one.
