The much awaited Hyundai Active i20 has been set up in India at last and will be competing against the cars like upcoming Maruti Suzuki SX-4 S-Cross, Volkswagen Cross Polo and Toyota Etios Cross. The car is available in 5 Trims with starting price of INR 6.38 Lac Ex-Showroom, New Delhi. The car is mostly based on the hatchback cousin Elite i20, which had been launched last year and won the Indian Car of the Year Award 2014. However, there are some changes made in the car externally to make it look like a crossover. There are many features which differentiate it from its hatchback sibling like different lights, skid plates and others as well.
More features of the car are projector headlight, 16-inch alloy wheels, Active badge on skid plates, increased ground clearance, new fuel cap and gloss finish for the C-pillars as well. Inside, there only a few subtle changes like blue seats with orange inserts, dual-tone blue and black interiors. Aluminum pedals and others as well. Under the bonnet, the car is available in both petrol and diesel fuel options with 1.2 Litre petrol engine producing 83 PS power and 115 Nm torque and the 1.4 Litre diesel engine producing 90 PS power with 220 Nm torque.
The petrol model will be powered by a 5-speed manual transmission system and the diesel model will get 6-speed manual transmission system. The price starts at INR 6.38 Lac Ex-Showroom and ends at INR 8.89 Lac Ex-Showroom, New Delhi.
