Before the launch on March 17, 2015, images of Hyundai i20 Active crossover have been revealed and the car looks very much a competitor of the famous hatchback turned crossover cars like Cross Polo, Etios Cross and upcoming SX-4 S-Cross as well. There are many features in this crossover which definitely will make it one of the most desirable car in the Indian market and preferably the growing crossover segment in India. The features included in it are LED DRLs, fog lamps with rounded shapes, newly designed allow wheels, skid plates, round reflectors at rear bumper and much more. There are new rood rails as well on the car to give it sporty look.
Inside the cabin, there is hint of orange with option of blue and rest of the frame is as same as in the Elite i20 hatchback. The car will be 190mm higher in ground clearance and will be offered in 4 trims like Verna that is SX and others. Under the bonnet, there would not be any change and it'll be powered by 1.2 Litre petrol and 1.4 Litre diesel engine.
However, the mileage has been reduced a bit as the petrol model will be offering around 1 km/l lesser and diesel model will be offering 2 km/l lesser than what was offered on Elite i20. The car will be launched on March 17, 2015 and the price of this car will be revealed by then only and I guess it would be up by INR 50,000 – 70,000 at least.
