Hyundai ix25 Again Snapped Out During Testing

Hyundai again commenced testing for the ix25 crossover near by its plant in Chennai with covered body. The car is already available in China, while Indian launch could take place either in October or November in this ongoing year between the expected price of INR 8 Lacs to INR 10 Lacs. Dimension wise, Chinese model measures 4,270 mm in length, 1,780 mm in width and 1,630 mm in height. On the other hand, this upcoming runabout is expected to share its powertrains with the Verna and will be powered by a 1.4 litre and 1.6 litre petrol as well as diesel engines.

Apart from the front wheel drive, Hyundai is also likely to offer an all-wheel drive option in this vehicle to give a new status for its crossover segment. There is only one production plant of this Korean manufacturer that has been situated in Chennai and now, due to the enhancement of more units, the company seems to open a second plant in Rajasthan. The most awaited car is codenamed as GS in India and, reportedly, the company is about to invest INR 1,000 Crore for its project.

Design wise, the Hyundai ix25 is anticipated to include an angular headlamps, hexagonal chrome finished front grille, stunning bumpers and large tailgate comprising tapering thick C-pillar and blackened out A-pillar. By hitting the Indian ways, this model will compete against the likes of Renault Duster, Maruti SX4 S-Cross and Nissan Terrano.
