As the compact SUV or crossover market is at all time high in the Indian market, most of the world-famous companies like BMW, Audi, Ford and others are trying their best to hold a grip on the sales volume across the country. The latest company to enter the league is the Korean manufacturer Hyundai which is currently ruling the Indian market with its hatchback cars Grand i10 and Elite i20. Now, looking at the market scenario, the company has plans to launch its ix25 crossover which has just debuted in China at the ongoing Guangzhou Auto Show 2014. The car has already started testing in India.
Mechanically, it's powered by a 1.6 Litre 4-cylinder petrol or 2.0 Litre 4-cylinder petrol engine for China and the same is expected for its Indian counterpart as well. The 1.6 Litre engine produces 123 bhp power and 152 Nm torque, while the 2.0 Litre engine has the ability to produce 158 bhp power and 192 Nm of torque. The Transmission will either be 6-speed manual or automatic system and front wheel drive option as standard in both models. However, all wheel drive option will be there for the 2.0 Litre engine.
Coming to the features, the car is equipped with LED DRLs, leather seats, electrically folding wing mirrors, touchscreen multimedia infotainment system, automatic climate control, keyless start, reverse parking cameras, ESP and much more. To ensure your safety, the car has dual airbags, ABS with EBD system. Also, the expected price of Hyundai ix25 would be around INR 11 Lac ex-showroom.
