Kawasaki has recently introduced a new beast over the Indian ground, named as Kawasaki ER-6n. Well, no one can beat this Japanese motorcycle manufacturer in terms of design, in-house build quality and advance technology. The Kawasaki ER-6n does not belong to either the Ninja family or the Z-Series. It has its own breed acquiring a completely new design and makeover along with technical equipments. The ER-6n is a naked sports-tourer motorcycle, which comes under a class-performance segment. Up to a distinct level, the newly introduced motorcycle is somewhat inspired by the Kawasaki Ninja 650, which has successfully created its own history.
Although, the Kawasaki hasn't covered a vast market-area in the Indian two-wheeler industry, but carries a huge fan-list across the country. Take a look over the gorgeous ER-6n and let me take you through the trip of the very same.
Hawkish Style:- The Kawasaki ER-6n carries an amazing riding posture, which gives a sportier look. The motorcycle is designed by Japanese boffins, who bear an eye of excellence. Starting from the front, the ER-6n is blessed with dual headlamps having sharp styling. The state-of-the-art technology can be seen in the designing of the motorcycle. The incredibly designed curves and cues of the Kawasaki ER-6n just work as an eye-candy. The double colored fuel tank is complemented by the split-cum-stepped seat alongwith grab rails.
The sports-tourer motorcycle gets a very compact design by the manufacturer. The naked sports motorcycle looks very bulky from the front and acquires aggressive features. The sporty curves and cues accompanying with the sharp and edgy style of the motorcycle will give you a feel of riding a true beast. The under-belly exhaust tail shows the enhanced pattern of sportiness.
Technical Glam:- Besides the sporty looks, the sports-tourer motorcycle should be loaded with high-end technical features also. The Kawasaki ER-6n gets its power from a liquid-cooled, parallel-twin, DOHC motor configuration, which gives an engine displacement of 649cc. The power motor is coupled to 6-speed transmission; hand over the power to the rear wheel using a chain drive. The 649cc displaced engine is capable to churn out a total power of 72BHP @ 8500 RPM and a peak torque of 64Nm @ 7000 revs.
Like I mentioned earlier, that the ER-6n is technically inspired by the Ninja 650, so the firm hasn't made any changes in the configuration of the motor. The low-mid range torque gives you an entry level performance riding experience and suits well for highway riding conditions.
Additional Toppings:- The firm has installed various additional accessories in the Kawasaki ER-6n. The sports-tourer motorcycle is built around a tubular diamond frame made up of high tensile steel, which is clearly visible from outside, as it is a naked sports motorcycle. The riding quality has been maintained by providing telescopic front forks and preload adjustable offset laydown single-shock at the rear.
The braking duties have been taken care by semi-floating dual petal disc brakes at the front and single petal disc brakes at the rear. The firm has given a fuel tank capacity of 16 liters, which is convenient for long tours. The alloy wheels also signify the completion of sportiness of the Kawasaki ER-6n.
The Kawasaki ER-6n has made a latest entry in the performance level segment motorcycles. The sports-tourer motorcycle will be rivaling against the upcoming DSK Benelli TNT 600i, which will be coming pretty soon by the end of this year. The newly launched sports-tourer motorcycle is priced at Rs 4.78 Lacs (Ex-Showroom Price).
