Renault has recently released a TV commercial that features actor Ranbir Kapoor, who is also the newly appointed Brand Ambassador of the company. The video showcases various models including Duster, Lodgy Stepway, Fluence and ends with a short glimpse of Kwid along with the words 'Coming Soon'. The background music used in the commercial has been composed by renowned Music Director A.R. Rahman. Premiered in May this year, the crossover is based on the CMF-A platform, which has been developed jointly by Renault and Nissan. The production will take place at Chennai with 98% localisation.
Priced at an affordable range of INR 3-4 Lacs, this model offers a complete package of style and comfort. Carried on 13 or 14 inch alloys, the fascia highlights dual-slat grille flanked by elegant headlamps and body cladding on the sides. Discussing the interior, the car gets MediaNav infotainment with navigation facility, digital instrument cluster and air vents finished in chrome.
It will be powered by a 0.8 litre, three-cylinder petrol motor that is clubbed with a 5-speed manual gearbox. It is anticipated that later an option of 1 litre engine with an AMT unit might be added to the lineup. Models like Maruti Alto and Hyundai Eon, which have already attained success in the market, will be posing a big threat to this upcoming crossover.
