Next Generation Skoda Superb to Unfold on February 17

After revealing the sketches and interiors of the upcoming Skoda Superb saloon, the company has promulgated that this runabout will be completely unveiled on 17 February. Its disclosed images shown that the next generation model gets Renault's new design language and the front fascia comes with a latest butterfly-shaped grille, larger headlamps, appealing bonnet and most of the styling philosophy has been inspired by the VisionC concept. Based on the same MQB platform as the Volkswagen Passat, this new runabout will be 20 mm longer and 50 mm wider as compared to its outgoing variant as well as the wheelbase will also be expanded by 80 mm.

Hence, alongside an increased wheelbase, the boot space has been enhanced too by 60 litre that is resulting 625 litres and can be made more spacious up to 1,760 litres by folding down its rear row seats. Moreover, the new Skoda Superb will save 75 kg of weights in order to meet with a high performance and more powerful fuel efficiency for the occupants. Mechanically, the sedan model will be powered by a 2.0 litre diesel engine to generate a stunning power of 170 bhp, while a 1.8 litre turbo petrol mill would be capable to churn out a spectacular power of 177 bhp.

These powertrains will come mated to a DSG automatic gearbox to perform an energetic duty. Spilling the beans about its interior, the car shares the most designing features with new Volkswagen B8 Passat.
