Nissan Terrano AMT

According to media reports, the Nissan Terrano will carry the same AMT unit that is currently performing operations under the Renault Duster. The AMT box in the Duster comes with 6-speed mechanism, christened as Easy-R. Along with the new transmission, it will also bring out some features like anti-pinch driver side windows, electrically folding ORVMs integrated with turn signals, a new driver armrest, more fabric touch on the dash and doors, etc.

Under the hood, Nissan Terrano SUV offers two engine options along with three different states of tunes. The petrol-powered model comes with a 1.6-litre engine which is tuned to fire out a maximum power of 85 PS. The diesel trim, on the other side, is powered by a 1.5-litre motor which is capable of generating a huge power of 110 PS. Besides, all the motors are packed with a 5-Speed manual gearbox as well as has two wheel drive configuration. Well, you will still miss the all wheel drive system here and no indication is there for the same any soon. If the reports turn out to be true, the AMT will be mated to 110 PS, 1.5L unit.
