Nissan Revises its Product lineup in India; also Discontinues Some Variants

Nissan India has made some important changes in its ongoing models in the Indian auto market. The automaker has made these significant changes just before the festive season. The company has also cut a number of variants as well. The product lineup comprises of the Nissan Terrano, Sunny, Micra and Micra Active. The variants of Sunny, Micra and Terrano have been discontinued.

The Nissan Micra hatchback now gets the 5-speed manual gearbox option for the petrol variant, replacing the X-Tronic CVT option for both XL and XV trim levels. Nissan has also discontinued the base XE and top XVP diesel trims of the lineup. Now, the driver airbag is made available as standard across the range, while dual airbags are installed in the XV petrol variant only.

Furthermore, the base XE trim of the Nissan Micra Active is no longer available, while the other remaining XL, XV and XV S will be continued. Meanwhile, the Nissan Sunny XV petrol now comes equipped with a CVT as standard. The Nissan Sunny XV premium diesel with leather upholstery has also been discontinued.

Nissan India have also discontinued the 85 PS Terrano XL variant, 110 PS Terrano XL and 110 PS Terrano XV variants (diesel variants). Now, the Terrano lineup consists of the Terrano XL petrol, 85 PS Terrano XE and XL Plus and 110 PS Terrano XV Premium models.
