Hyundai India has updated the Elite i20 with Android Auto. The update is only valid for model manufactured before April 2017. The 2018 Elite i20 facelift was introduced at the Auto Expo 2018 along with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink connectivity inbuilt. The company previously included a 7-inch AVN unit in 2015 with the Elite i20. The Hyundai Elite i20 delivered after April 2017 already included those features.
After fixing an appointment, the car owners can send their vehicles to a service centre for a software upgrade. The software upgrade will take at least half day and the car owner is advised to leave the car for a day. With the upgrade, it will work with Android phone and users can use Google Music, contacts, Google Maps and other widgets.

The company had also issued the same Android Auto software upgrade for the Suzuki SLDA for top variants like S-Cross, Baleno, Ciaz in July 2017.
